The quilts they make are simple, tied, lap-size ones. These go to veteran's and children's agencies. The women rely on donated materials, and they make very creative use of all of it, with plenty of flair. Quilters and other supporters have been very generous with donations of batting, fabrics, fiber fill, yarn and more.

What a wonderful program!! I'm always so interested to see what the ladies make...and what a perfect time of year...it is all about giving isn't it...you give your time and talent...women do the same...just goes around doesn't it! Merry Christmas, my friend. Hope to see you soon!
Thanks for sharing. This is such a wonderful project, a win/win for everyone. I wish I were closer so I could participate.
What a great thing for the women to be able to do with their time. I bought some 'prison dolls' while on vacation this year and they are absolutely exquisite. I have rarely seen such beautiful work. Just dropping in to say I'm quite ashamed of myself for not visiting my blogging friends much these past months. Life is getting in the way, however, in a good way. Hoping 2014 will bring you everything you need and all you long for. May it be a gentle and kind one for all of us. hugs, Donna
